Opening Night Success!!

“The Physician In Spite Of Himself ” by Moliere opened last night to an intimate and fun crowd at the playhouse. After weeks of rehearsal and preparation, we were finally able to place the “laughter” only an audience can bring to a show. Overall, it was enjoyable and fun to present this comedy! The kids were the highlight between scenes with their signs to the audience.

I think the best experience of all was in breaking through the fourth wall and directly communicating with the individuals in the seats! My mom told me later it was different but she really enjoyed that aspect of the play. I think with a full house, this will be quite an experience for the audience.

So – all the costumes are done and everyone looks fabulous – and I can move forward to other projects waiting patiently to be started! -Mel

EP’s Winter Production

The kids and I are getting ready for The Physician In Spite of Himself by Moliere. It’s a wonderful comedy with great costumes and lots of energy! Jacob and Elina get to change the scenes with signs between acts. I have been very busy working on women’s costumes and learning my part. Great fun!

We had our first run through last night – with costumes that were complete. The kids were great! I love being able to share the theatre experience with them. So opening night is Jan. 30th!!!! Showtime is 8pm at the Evergreen Playhouse!

Back to the sewing machine! ……
